Help Those Who Hurt by Becoming a Stephen Minister

Is God calling you to expand your horizons, to care for those hurting and spread His love? If so, Stephen Ministry may be for you.

Stephen Ministers are lay persons who share Christ’s healing love with those who are hurting in our congregation and community. Through acts like hospital visits, house calls and offering communion, our Stephen Ministers use their gifts in meaningful and impactful ways.

Those going through challenges in life are matched with a Stephen Minister, who listens, cares, prays and embodies Christ’s presence. As a Stephen Minister, you get to experience deep joy and tremendous growth as you see God at work and touch people’s lives.

An informational meeting for those interested in training to become a Stephen Minister will be held on Monday, Sept. 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, with a training course planned for the fall. If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, please contact Betty Frank at bettyf@norfolkumc.org.
