Celebrate Back to School

With the start of the school year just around the corner, we are ready to celebrate the start of a new Sunday School year! Children and youth are invited to kick-off a fun filled 2019-20 school year on Sunday, Aug. 18. Start your morning in Wesley Hall at 9:30 a.m. with a light breakfast of muffins, fruit, juice and coffee served to all who come. Kids Movie Night, July 10

Come watch the animated movie “Planet 51” at 7pm on Wednesday, July 10 in Wesley Hall. Featuring the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Seann William Scott, Jessica Biel and more, this will be a fun night for ages 2 through sixth grade. An alien civilization is invaded by Astronaut Chuck Baker, who believes that the planet was uninhabited. Wanted by the military, Baker must get back to his ship before it goes into orbit without him. Children’s Lent Bible Study

All kids grades first through sixth are invited on a seven-week Lenten journey! The “Totally Lent” Bible study will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. starting March 6 in Room 204. A light supper will be provided. The study kicks off on Ash Wednesday. All youth grades 7 through 12 are invited to join Youth Group. We meet every Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. “Faith with Fabrics” Teaches Children Sewing Basics

Starting on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 5:30 p.m., the sewing class “Faith with Fabrics” will begin. The class is designed for kids grade 4th and up (parents may come also). Judy Mischke will lead this fun class where youth will make projects for themselves and for area charities. Sewing machines will be provided. There is no cost for the class. First Annual Fall Festival is Oct. 27

Celebrate fall, faith and fellowship at FUMC’s first ever Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 27. The day will feature a chili cook-off, sales of FUMC apparel, vendors and games for the kids. The chili cook-off is free to enter with prizes for first, second and third place. Bring a large crock-pot full of your favorite chili and attendees will vote for their favorite.
