We can now take the Safe Sanctuary training and fill out our background check paperwork online! As a volunteer working with children, youth or developmentally disabled adults, this is a valuable tool to protect yourself, our children and the church.
-You will need to read and watch the required video clips, followed by a questionnaire. You have to complete all parts of the educational piece to be certified.
-All background forms can be submitted online with the exception of the DDHS form. This has to be printed off and signed personally by you. Please bring the completed DDHS form into the church office and we will mail it for you along with the application fee. This indicates that you have taken the required steps to become certified. It is important to do this, as the church needs to keep track of our volunteers who have taken the course.
If you have questions or wonder if you need to take this course (certification is good for 3 years), please contact Cheri at the church office.
